A proud person will point fingers at someone else or shift the blame. They may say things like, “Are you accusing me?” or “Well, what about you?”

A person filled with pride doesn’t see his pitiful and miserable condition. He doesn’t have any concern for others and will lack compassion for others and their concerns. They can’t see beyond their own selfish desires. All this is pride in the heart.

A proud person may not serve others because they are not thinking of others. They think of themselves. And if they do serve others they seek praise and will not continue to serve if there is no praise.

Proud people may think they are better then others. They may think they are superior and this leads to being unteachable.

Proud people can be very unkind people. They can joke, tease, make fun, bully, and they excuse themselves by saying that it is just the way they are.

Are you concerned what others think of you? Do you make decisions based on how others may react? This could be nothing other than pride manifesting in you.

Do you get angry when someone criticizes you? A proud person usually can’t handle that they are wrong or imperfect.

A proud person may seem like they are very hard to get along with or very hard to work with. One doesn’t like to submit to authority, one seeks complete independence or control.

A person who talks too much often do so because they think that what they have to say is more important than what others has to say. A person who talks too much is a proud person.

A Proud person may not seem very proud at all. In fact they may have self-pity. But this focuses on self and wants self to be elevated. Indeed this is pride.
